And what kind of New Year would it be without some resolutions? Look out, 2010, because I'm ( hitting the ground running: )

I'm rarely this positive about the New Year, but there's just something about 2010 that has me chomping at the bit. Bring it on, 2010! For once, I'm ready for you.

2009 has drawn to a close, which means it's time for only one thing. Here goes the ( 2009 Resolution End Roll )

So there you have it! 2010 Resolutions later today, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better year in the New Year.

It was all sickness and job-hating and getting a roommate I want to murder, then getting even sicker. And the long, goddawful string of dumping, getting dumped, barey getting over either, and getting stood up a dozen times. (Do I seriously look that scary? What the hell?) Punctuated by cool things, like catching this loft, seeing Camera Obscura, seeing Sherlock Holmes/Where the Wild Things Are/Princess and the Frog and getting roommates that I don't want to murder. In any case:

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S!

My resolution is to get a gallery show. My half-assed resolution is to hold a gallery show.

... my coworkers feel it is weird that 'get laid' and 'get man' is not in there. :| LOOK BETCHES, I'M TRYIN. SHEEZUS. GET THEM YOURSELF.

The rest of you: have a good New Year's Eve, be safe (thankfully, most of you are not stupid <3) and here's to another year gone by.

Can someone please come over and tell my roommates that no, no we're not going to ask the neighbors to use their internet and I am not going to hack someone's WEP so we can steal internet?

I'm just going to order internet for myself and they can go ask the damn neighbors. When they can't reset the router in SOMEONE ELSE'S HOUSE, then I'll download entire movies just to be smug.


Also, rediscovered an old classmate's story from my weird little period of Creative Writing at SUNY. Have an excerpt:

"Just what the fuck kind of art school was this? To my existing knowledge, art school was about geeky and pretentiously hip and talented art students, and the like. I had not anticipated a fraternity. I was pretty positive that I had decided to attend Art College to escape the dude bros and their incessant beer pong balls and their shouts of 'fag' and 'your mom's hot' and more importantly, 'SHOW US YOUR FUNBAGS'."

Should anyone, by random happenstance, know a Dan Cabrera that went to SUNY for at least, like, a semester, please let him know: I still have his stories, they're still hilarious, and he is ten pounds of adorable in a small change purse that has no means of carrying around ten pounds of adorable, much less ten pounds of anything else.

Those words exactly, please. He was that cute.

Merry Christmas, my dear friends! We're almost through yet another year, and it's been a doozy. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, were close to the people you love, and were festive and merry until the wee hours of the morning. For those of you who celebrate Christmas, I hope you walked off with some excellent loot; I know my dogs did. Fox ended up with a Mr. Bill plush, complete with "Ohh nooooo" action, and Kozue has not one but /two/ new collars covered in red velvet and bells. As for me, though A&E's gift of twenty-four hours of "Criminal Minds" was delightful, I'm getting a serger and that's pretty fantastic.

So my lovelies, happy holidays and a most merry of Christmases!
